What We Do

What We Do!

ABC Construction specializes in providing residential seismic retrofits, which make a home more resilient in the event of an earthquake. We believe our clients deserve a trustworthy and professional team that goes above and beyond to provide exceptional work. That is why we’d like to introduce you to the EBB program, a governmental grant funded by FEMA that helps you reduce the chances of earthquake damage and keeps MORE money in your pocket. Please read about the program below, if this sounds like something you been have been thinking about.

About EBB:

EBB Program

The Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) program was developed by the California Earthquake Authority (CEA) and the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to help homeowners afford a seismic retrofit. A residential seismic retrofit strengthens an existing older house, making it more resistant to earthquake activity, such as ground shaking and soil failure. The seismic retrofit involves bolting the house to its foundation and adding bracing around the perimeter of the crawl space.

Through EBB, homeowners may be eligible for an incentive payment of up to $3,000 to help pay costs associated with the retrofit of their houses, if the house’s characteristics are suitable for this type of retrofit in accordance with California Existing Building Code Chapter A3. Most homeowners decide to hire a contractor to do the retrofit work, instead of doing it themselves. A typical retrofit usually costs between $3,000 and $7,000, depending on the location, size of the house, contractor fees, and the amount of materials and work involved.

Please find us in the contractor directory by entering ABC Construction in the search box and we will be more than happy to provide you with an estimate at no cost!!!
